The West Brom have a great opportunity for a Trainee Accountant. Reporting into the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant and working within our Finance team. The post holder will be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification and gain experience across the Finance function supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes. What the Role will look like: Completing routine and ad hoc financial reporting tasks as part of our monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles. Understanding the role Financial Reporting plays within the wider Finance function, being ready and flexible to aid other Finance teams where required. Conducting Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner at reporting period ends. Ensuring that procedures are fully documented and kept up to date. Implementing process improvements and efficiencies. Assisting with projects that affect the Financial Reporting team from time to time. What you will bring to the role: Highly numerate and analytical with a passion for problem-solving. A strong communicator who can get their point across, as well as making other people feel heard Flexibility, they’ll be times when we’ll need you to step up to help your team and other teams, especially during our busy times A confident Excel user and keen to use our systems and tools to get the job done accurately and efficiently.
