Role Description
As NPD Insight & Creative Manager for Churchill, your role is key in supporting the Head of Product to deliver strategic business objectives through market research, trend insight, and the creative development of new product concepts. You will build a deep knowledge of key market areas, including colour, interior, restaurant and food trends, competitor products, and new openings, and translate these insights into compelling creative outputs.
Your work will directly feed the NPD pipeline over a rolling three-year plan, helping to shape future products and ensure our concepts are commercially and creatively compelling. The role also focuses on creating high-quality visual and written assets in line with brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Asset Generation
* Transform new product concepts and trend insights into high-quality creative outputs, including:
* Photography and styling of new product ranges
* Videos, literature and presentations
* Copywriting for product positioning, origin, and brand storytelling
* Ensure all creative assets adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone, look, and feel.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Design, and Product teams to ensure assets are effectively deployed across all channels (literature, web, video, social media, showroom, merchandising).
2. Project Research & Insight
* Manage and coordinate multiple insight projects aligned with business strategy and objectives.
* Deliver research within agreed briefs, budgets, and timelines.
* Present findings and actionable recommendations to inform NPD and creative strategy.
* Develop repeatable processes for approaching research and insight projects effectively.
3. Trend Research
* Take ownership of restaurant, food, and hospitality trend research relevant to key markets.
* Continually identify global food trends through desk research, site visits, and other sources.
* Build and maintain a visual and data-driven trend database to guide NPD and creative decisions.
* Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product ideation and marketing concepts.
4. NPD Concept Development
* Translate ideas from concept meetings into visual boards and creative strategies.
* Support the development of marketing positioning, brand essence, and product messaging for commercially approved concepts.
* Act as the central point for creative delivery within the NPD pipeline, ensuring concepts are visually and verbally compelling.
5. Showroom & Merchandising
* Manage showroom processes, including merchandising, presentation, and maintenance.
* Ensure showrooms reflect brand standards and the latest product concepts.
6. Distributor / End User Engagement
* Attend key customer and distributor visits to present product concepts, research insights and creative outputs.
* Use visual storytelling and presentations to communicate product ideas and trends effectively.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Demonstrated ability to translate business briefs and insight into creative, practical solutions that deliver commercially relevant results.
* Proven capability to develop visual and written creative assets, including photography, videos, copywriting and marketing materials in line with brand guidelines.
* Strong background in creative or insight-focused roles.
* Excellent project management skills, with experience delivering creative outputs on time and within budget.
* Strong presentation and visual communication skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in marketing strategy, product positioning, or brand development.
* Graduate-level qualification in marketing, design, communications, or a related field.
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite to support creative asset development and collaboration with design teams.
