The Opportunity
Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Performing Arts Graduate to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. Youll work closely with students aged 11‑16, supporting them in History lessons. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Your Role Will Involve
* Assisting teachers in delivering engaging History lessons
* Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
* Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
* Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
What Were Looking For
* A degree in History or a related subject
* A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
* Some experience with secondary‑aged pupils – e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
* A confident communicator with good organisational skills
* A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
