What You’ll Be Doing
1. Manage contractors carrying out Facilities services and monitor their performance to ensure they comply with all safety at work requirements and to improve and develop their services.
2. Maintain records of contractors and suppliers and their contract details in the Facilities Management system.
3. Maintain records of all properties and assets and their maintenance, repair, inspection and testing in the Facilities Management system.
4. Understand how a major facilities plant can influence energy consumption and drive actions to reduce this.
5. Always be punctual, recognising the importance of this to colleagues and the smooth running of the department.
6. Provide responses and resolution to Facilities Helpdesk requests within agreed service levels
7. Ensure essential services are continually maintained by carrying out the full range of practical and manual handling aspects of the following: -
8. PAT testing, replacement of lighting consumables and fuses
9. Water services testing
10. Furniture, fixtures and fittings: repairs, adjustments, layout alterations.
11. Maintain records of all aspects of the department’s compliance with health and safety legislation.
