Role Summary
To provide a high-quality specialist clinical pharmacy service to inpatients and outpatients in a designated clinical area.
To be responsible for a specialist clinical area on a day-to-day basis and deputise and support the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for the directorate in their absence.
To assist in the delivery of training and the development of members of the pharmacy clinical team, undergraduate pharmacy students, Foundation Year Pharmacists, and members of the wider MDT.

We seek an experienced pharmacist aiming to develop in a specialist area while consolidating practice in core rotational areas. Ideally, you will have completed or be nearing completion of your clinical diploma and have hospital pharmacy experience. Aspirations to become an independent prescriber and gain experience in various clinical areas are also desirable.
The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital offers rotations including Acute Hospital at Home, ICU, Respiratory & Cystic Fibrosis, Cardiology, Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Renal, Stroke, Paediatrics & Neonates, and Acute Medicine. Support and mentorship are available during rotations, along with opportunities for quality improvement, teaching, and personal development.
Candidates should have a strong team approach, good communication skills, initiative, and enthusiasm. The role involves participating in on-call, weekend, late duties, and bank holidays, with a requirement to work some weekends as part of the contract.
Working Pattern: hours per week, including 7-day working, late duties, bank holidays, and weekends.
