SEN / SEND Tutor, Dorset
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors are required in Dorset to support young people with Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Moderate & Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and other Additional Educational Needs.
Targeted Provision is on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN and SEND, raising the standard of support offered to vulnerable learners across the UK. We work within a child‑centred framework, providing 1:1 tutoring that is creative, flexible, holistic and trauma‑informed.

SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Provide Maths, English or Science tuition to students with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to us.
* Support students referred by local authorities or schools through flexible and holistic trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring.
* Enhance the educational and social‑emotional journey of each learner.
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session.
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet learners’ needs.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/ QTLS).
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
* Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS check (support available at cost).
* Two professional references.
* Base in the UK with the right to work in the UK (including for remote/online assignments).
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Work as a Worker via short‑term contracts.
* Contract for Service with PAYE payment.
* No set hours or expenses coverage.
* Insurance covers work performed for us.
* Not a self‑employed teaching position.
