Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 - Happy Feet Nursery and Preschool, Westbourne

The Aspire Training Team is recruiting a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Happy Feet Nursery and Preschool in Westbourne as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

Westbourne is a vibrant, family-friendly area known for its independent spirit, cafes, and proximity to the beach. The community's demand for quality childcare is high, making this a great opportunity.

The nursery offers a warm, inspiring environment with stained-glass windows and a space designed for curiosity and creativity. The setting is open, airy, and adaptable, fostering a dynamic and modern atmosphere that retains its character and feels like home.

This is an exciting chance to complete a Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your roles and responsibilities would include:

1. Supporting key members in the daily care of children
2. Engaging in hands-on learning of the role
3. Participating in the daily operations of the nursery
4. Assisting with toileting, food preparation, and personal care
5. As the team grows, liaising with parents, planning and implementing activities, and developing skills and competencies

Requirements:

1. Ability to obtain a clear DBS check
2. GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent Functional Skills

Qualities Required:

1. Team player who can also work independently
2. Love of play and reading

Hours:

1. Nursery operates from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, all year round
2. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
