About the role
In your role as Technical Systems Analyst, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role offers a great opportunity to play a critical part in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of core business applications.
You will lead the technical support, configuration, maintenance, and analysis of enterprise systems, ensuring they meet evolving business needs while maintaining compliance, security, and operational continuity.
This role acts as a technical liaison between the IT department, business stakeholders, and external service providers—ensuring issues are resolved promptly, systems are optimally configured, and changes are implemented efficiently and effectively.
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the IT team, you will be responsible for:
* Delivering and maintaining high-quality operational support for all assigned applications within agreed SLAs and business-supported hours.
* Acting as a technical lead on troubleshooting and resolving incidents, managing problems, and implementing system changes in collaboration with business users and third-party vendors.
* Ensuring timely delivery of audit actions, IT risk mitigation activities, and compliance with standards and controls.
* Providing technical input across project lifecycles, contributing to design decisions, integration planning, and system optimisation.
* Owning support models and ensuring that service support processes, escalation paths, and knowledge transfer protocols are followed and improved.
* Generating, validating, and delivering management information (MI) and analytics to support operational and regulatory reporting.
* Supporting vendor management activities, including performance reviews, contract adherence, and issue resolution.
* Facilitating root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues and bottlenecks.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify improvements and implement best practices for system resilience and business continuity.
* Ensuring documentation, knowledge bases, and runbooks are current and accessible.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience in technical application support, configuration, and analysis within a regulated or enterprise environment.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including performance issues and integration failures.
* Experience working with third-party support partners and vendors, including service reviews and contract management.
* Proficiency in producing technical documentation, MI dashboards, and support materials.
* Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management tools.
* Knowledge of information security, access control, and audit principles.
* Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
