About the Position
The Pastoral Support Officer will provide support to a designated Head of Year in pastoral matters, particularly with behavioural issues, safeguarding and parental engagement. The role will support the Attendance Officers with attendance issues within their designated year group.
The successful candidate will have experience of mentoring, coaching or working with young people, and experience of successfully working with young people with challenging behaviour. We are looking for someone who has the courage to challenge students to be their best and help remove barriers to learning to ensure they reach their full potential. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An offer of employment will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced level DBS disclosure with a children's barred list check, two satisfactory references and successful completion of vetting procedures.

Salary & Terms
Grade and Salary: Grade 4: £24,490 - £26,566 actual salary per annum pro rata (£28,598 - £31,022 FTE).
Working pattern: 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks (TTO plus inset days).
Contract term: Permanent.
