Job Description Job Title : Offshore Metering Technician Job Type: Permanent Hours : Annual Hours Job Location : Aberdeen Offshore - 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off Salary: Competitive As an Offshore Metering Technician, you'll be responsible for performing planned routine and breakdown maintenance on Fiscal, Environmental, Allocation and Base Management (production) metering equipment and associated instrumentation. Key Accountabilities; Monitor metering system performance and data to minimise metering errors. Routine planned maintenance (PMR) to client schedules and protocols, including onsite planning of the work to ensure these are carried out within the required timescales. Completion of any corrective work identified during normal operations or whilst carrying out PMR's. Record and report mis-measurements to onshore support staff supplying pertinent data in an accurate and timely manner Record keeping of metering systems offshore, records to include the upkeep of; OGA/ Fiscal metering logbooks, Test equipment certification files: Instrument calibration records, Metering System drawings, Densitometer control charts and change outs, Turbine meter proving records and control charts Liaison with client representatives both onshore and offshore to identify and highlight any problem areas and also any opportunities for improvements to the metering systems operation or efficiency Provision of a report for each trip detailing work carried out, particularly in areas of faults, corrective work and suggestive improvements, handover notes for back-to-back should also be provided Co-ordinate availability of spare parts and equipment required for repairs and change outs, schedule offshore repairs for metering equipment and test equipment to ensure continuity of service Assist auditors, vendors and other third parties during site visits Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need:- Experience within the oil and gas industry specifically related to a measurement and instrumentation discipline Ability to plan, co-ordinate and complete routine and non routine maintenance and calibration schedules Effective fault diagnosis, problem solving and implementation of remedial/ corrective actions HND/ Degree level in/or equivalent engineering or technical based discipline Additional Information At SGS, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
