Our team in the London borough of Wandsworth are recruiting for Recovery Workers to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group.If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our service users.
The right person should be a self-starter, enthusiastic, motivated, caring and creative - ideally with experience of working in a substance misuse environment.

The Wandsworth drug and alcohol service is based in Battersea and is located 10 minutes walk from Clapham Junction train station, which has a busy local shopping district.
These positions are full-time and permanent working 37.5 hours per week. The salary is £22,687 - £31,762.50 per annum plus an Inner London Weighting of £2759.00 per annum.

Required Skills
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
2. Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
3. Be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
4. Be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work
5. Have good oral and written communication skills
6. Be organised and able to manage your time effectively
Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with an inspiring and engaging approach.
Ideally you will also have previous experience of working or volunteering with people who misuse substances. We welcome applications from those with lived experience.
You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
