While the organisation prefers to stay anonymous at this stage, they are well established, highly regarded in their sector, and committed to strengthening their technical leadership on site. This is a key role - not simply maintaining standards, but shaping them.The roleAs Site Technical Manager, you will lead the technical, quality and food safety agenda on site. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the site's technical strategy, ensuring robust end-to-end controls while fostering a culture where quality is understood, prioritised and consistently upheld. You'll oversee:The QA function across intake, raw materials and factory operationsThe Hygiene team, working closely with the Group Hygiene ManagerSite-wide technical compliance and continuous improvement initiativesYou will also sit on the site senior management team, contributing to operational decision-making and aligning technical priorities with commercial objectives.Key responsibilitiesEnsure full compliance with all relevant industry standards, including BRCGS, customer codes of practice and retailer requirementsLead internal, third-party and customer auditsMaintain and develop HACCP and TACCP plansDrive technical standards, policies and procedures that support consistent site performanceBuild strong cross-functional relationships with operations, procurement, field technical teams and group technical colleaguesLead effective incident management, root-cause analysis and trend reportingMonitor and report against internal and customer KPIs, implementing improvement plans where neededExperience and skillsWe're looking for someone with:Proven technical or food safety management experience within fresh produce or food manufacturingStrong knowledge of food safety legislation and industry standardsLeadership experience with the ability to develop, support and motivate teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHACCP and Food Safety qualifications (essential)A degree in a food-related discipline is beneficial but not essentialWhat this role offersThis position provides the opportunity to take ownership of a well-established technical function, influence site performance at a senior level and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
