Invicta Health has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the team on a part time basis at East Cliff Practice.

Working 15 hours per week, 6 pm- 9 pm.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.


Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper you will provide a comprehensivecleaning service throughout the practice, complying with health and safetyregulations. You will be responsible for cleaning and tidying to keep thesurgery to required standards and organising and replenishing consumables.

Job responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the practice is kept replenished with all required consumables,for example paper towels, toilet rolls, couch roll, soap etc.

Empty all general waste, confidential waste and recycle bins regularly.

Clean the practice washroom facilities, including hand basins andtoilets.

Tidy and clean the practice kitchen and rest room facilities, includingloading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning all surfaces and cupboard doors.

Tidy and clean all offices and clinical rooms ensuring to dust and wipeclean all desks, ledges, windowsills, switches, clinical couches/chairs, equipment,and telephones.

Dust and clean skirting boards and all wall hanging pictures and mirrors withinthe practice.

Clean all door handles and door access buttons.

Ensure all pillowcases are changed in clinical rooms weekly.

Ensure curtains are changed in all clinical rooms monthly.

Sweeping and washing of any hard flooring within the practice

Hoovering any carpeted areas within the practice

Washing and drying of cloths as required.

Adhere to the periodic cleaning schedule, ensuring all activities are completed.

Use cleaning equipment in a safe and effective manner, adhering to manufacturersinstructions.

Ensure all cleaning materials are stored in a safe and secure manner, adheringto COSHH, H&S and other legislative acts and guidance.

Ensure all relevant doors and windows are locked when leaving thepremises.

General Duties

To work collaboratively andprofessionally with colleagues across Invicta Health, building and maintainingrelationships.

To contribute to the development ofservices, including processes, templates and principles.

To ensurethat strict confidentiality is observed at all times, especially when dealingwith personal information.

To takepart in any statutory and mandatory training or other training and developmentprogrammes as requested.

Any otherreasonable duties as directed by your line manager.

Due to thechanging nature of Invicta Health, job descriptions will evolve and aretherefore subject to periodic review.

* Able to undertake a range of manual cleaning activities
* Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with specified rotas
* Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
* Effective communication skills (written and oral)
* Ability to follow policy and procedure

Qualifications

* Basic standard of general education
* City & Guilds Level 2 or a related cleaning qualification


Experience

* Experience of general cleaning activities
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Issues (General and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
* Experience working in a healthcare setting
