Advanced Practitioner - Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist - Frailty role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran
The Role Are you passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care to older adults? University Hospital Wishaw is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic healthcare professionals to join our new dynamic Frailty Unit. Our Frailty Unit provides specialist multidisciplinary care for older people living with frailty, focusing on early assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning whilst applying home first principles. You will work as an expert clinical practitioner responsible for providing expert clinical care and management of both the patient and their family/carers, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge. You will have responsibility for the assessment of frailty patients and the delivery of complex transitions of care across a variety of settings. You will need to be an experienced practitioner, who will act within their professional boundaries and provide expert advice and opinion to multidisciplinary teams (clinical and non-clinical) across acute and community settings within both the health and social care partnerships and other agencies. As an Advanced Practitioner, you must demonstrate competence within all four pillars of advanced practice and make professional, autonomous decisions for you are accountable.
Full and part time hours will be considered.

What we'll need you to bring
* You must be a HCPC registered practitioner – Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a post graduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice.
* Expertise within specialty/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the specialty with advanced specialty knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the specialty/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within the specialty.
* Be a car driver with a full and valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
* Leadership skills with an ability work motivate others and work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* Ability to work flexibly to cover a rotating schedule - over 7 days - including weekends and public holidays.
