This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with an interest in older adult rehabilitation to join a high‑quality ward therapy team, supporting patients to regain independence and return home safely.
Based mainly at St Mark’s Hospital, Maidenhead, with some cross‑cover at Upton Hospital, Slough, you’ll join a close‑knit inpatient team of OTs, physios and therapy assistants. You’ll manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs and gain valuable experience in a dynamic MDT where learning and development are actively supported.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
* Assessing patients and creating personalised rehab plans
* Supporting or running groups such as falls prevention and exercise
* Working closely with patients, families and the wider MDT
* Supporting therapy assistants and supervising students
* Joining ward rounds, case conferences and discharge planning

The post will be part of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire. The role will involve:
Key responsibilities
* Being responsible for your own caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient‑focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.
* Providing supervision and guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team and making recommendations to the wider MDT to support with the education of students.
* Being involved in QI and contributing to the planning, development, and evaluation of the service.

Qualifications
* Qualified (or about to qualify) Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
* A passion for working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care setting
* UK driving licence with access to a vehicle or equivalent ability to travel effectively.
* Willingness to participate in a 6‑day rota.
