Description
Bath Spa University is looking to recruit an EAP lecturer to work in the English Language Unit (ELU). The ELU is a small team based within the Learning, Innovation & Skills Unit but with university-wide responsibility for supporting our international students with their language and academic skills. The Unit also teaches some credit-bearing modules.
The ELU is based at Newton Park Campus, but the role will involve visiting other BSU campuses and educational partners.
About the Role
Within your role, you will provide language and academic skills support to international students through classes and tutorials. The role involves contributing to in-sessional and pre-sessional programmes by designing curricula, delivering engaging lessons, assessing students, and providing timely feedback, while working collaboratively within a supportive teaching team.
You will liaise closely with academic and professional services staff across the University and partner sites to enhance the international student experience, support academic colleagues in working with international students, and contribute to the development, delivery, and evaluation of English language testing for prospective students
About You
· A good first degree or equivalent · DELTA (or equivalent) · Higher education EAP teaching experience · Experience of English language testing · A relevant master's (e.g., Applied Linguistics/TESOL) · Experience of creating language test items · Data management experience For further information on the essential and desirable skills we're looking for, please refer to the attached Job Description.

Salary Grade Ac3S-Ac3A - Starting from £44,746, rising to £56,536 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
