Do you have a good understanding of Safety Management Systems? As we now have a new opportunity for a Marine Support Officer to join our existing team at Kendall, Youll be based out of our Portsmouth office and will provide administrative and clerical support to the marine department in regard to the operations of vessels operated and managed by Holcim UK Limited. This will include, but is not limited, to supporting audits, purchasing requests, inductions and ensuring ship certification and the Safety Management System is maintained to ensure safe and compliant marine operations. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the requirements of marine and other licences/certificates assigned to the vessels are implemented, monitored and maintained as required and directed. Where required, you will assume the role of Designated Person (DP) under the ISM code. What will you bring? ? Experience working in a maritime environment, desirable not essential. ? Knowledge of the Safety Management Systems, Planned Maintenance System and similar IT based platform ? Good communication (oral and written) skills. ? Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels. ? Proactive planning, organisational and coordination skills. ? Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details. ? Good IT skills with Excel/Google Sheets intermediate level understanding.
