An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team. This is a permanent full-time post (37 hours per week) for a Band 6 with a focus on experience across ward and community settings and a strong re-ablement approach. The role is based at Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie, and will involve work across the sister hospital in Bonar Bridge and the surrounding remote and rural community.
Regular supervision and support will be provided, with opportunities for professional development through annual appraisal and a personal development plan. The post includes supervision and day-to-day workload management of Band 4 assistants and supports student placements. A full UK driving licence is essential; a pool car is available, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes if required.
This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provide occupational therapy services across ward and community settings with a re-ablement focus.
* Supervise and manage the day-to-day workload of Band 4 assistants.
* Support student placements and contribute to team development.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver care in a fully integrated OT setting.
Qualifications
* Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Broad skill mix or willingness to expand skill set in a fully integrated OT setting.
* Effective communication, organisational and time management skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence is essential; access to a vehicle for work purposes if required.
