Room Leader Nursery Contract: Fixed term (SeptemberDecember) Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time Role Overview: The Room Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of the baby room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The role includes leading a small team, planning age-appropriate activities, and maintaining high standards of care in line with EYFS requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise staff within the baby room, providing guidance and support Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Ensure childrens safety, wellbeing, and development at all times Build strong relationships with parents and provide regular updates on childrens progress Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain accurate records Maintain a clean, safe, and organised room environment Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are always followed Support staff development and contribute to team meetings Requirements: Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above in Early Years) Previous experience working with babies in a nursery setting Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role preferred Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable: Paediatric First Aid certification Experience working in a UK nursery setting Ability to start in September and commit through December
