Position details Role: Year 4 Teacher — Oxford Start date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the role The Year 4 Teacher will plan progressive units that build long-term memory and vocabulary, deliver high-quality guided reading and maths reasoning sessions, and run small-group tuition to accelerate progress. The Year 4 Teacher will apply assessment to identify priorities and will collaborate with subject leads across Oxford to develop resources and share best practice. The Year 4 Teacher will also support transition work and whole-school improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities Deliver ambitious Year 4 lessons with purposeful differentiation and challenge. Lead targeted small-group intervention and evaluate impact on pupil outcomes. Contribute to curriculum mapping, moderation and cross-curricular projects in Oxford. Communicate attainment and next steps to parents and contribute to reporting cycles. Support enrichment, trips and extracurricular opportunities that broaden learning. Person specification Qualified teacher with proven Year 4/KS2 experience and a track record of improving outcomes. Excellent planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills; collaborative and reflective. Committed to professional development and ready to start January 2026 in Oxford.
