We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled teacher of Drama to join our small, supportive school community on a maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be able to teach across KS3 and KS4, working with highly motivated, well-behaved pupils in small class sizes that allow for genuine individual attention. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the role includes collaborating with our Director of Music to deliver a whole-school production in the New Year – an exciting opportunity to showcase students' creativity and talent. We are looking for a colleague with strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people; technical expertise to support performance work would also be an advantage. All colleagues are expected to act as a pastoral tutor, attached to a day or boarding house, and should be willing to be involved with the wider life of a busy boarding and day school.
We are seeking a person with a genuine commitment to high academic and professional standards and full engagement in the ongoing development of the department. Full statutory induction is provided for ECTs.
This role is being offered as 0.8 FTE Fixed Term Maternity Cover for initially 6 months with the potential to be 12 months.
