We have an exciting and newly developed opportunity for a talented individual to become our new Quality Technician. Reporting to our quality lead within our growing quality team this is a position where we would consider both aspiring graduates to develop into the role in addition to experienced quality lab technicians. The successful candidate will be supporting the development of quality standards and quality system documentation in line with the Business quality System needs. This role is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic person to play a key role in maintaining our high-quality standards and expectations. Working with the Barrie team to ensure our final products meet our organisational and customer standards across the board. This role requires a detail orientated, self-motivated individual, who is keen to apply learned knowledge in industry. You will be seen as a quality specialist and as such should have a strong level of knowledge in analysing and presenting data. About Barrie Knitwear? Collaborate with the Quality Lead and the Quality team to implement an excellence program of quality for all products delivered to customers through compliance with technical protocols and standards Monitor and evaluate quality KPIs internally and with suppliers Maintain reporting and control tools for accurate data management and communication Support best practice and evaluation techniques, to meet quality targets that show year on year KPI improvement and champion a ‘Right First Time’ (RFT) culture both within Barrie and suppliers Continually improving the structure and set up of the Quality System in relation to the laboratory to meet developing business needs Support a working environment and business culture which encourages "continuous improvement" throughout the business and with suppliers Ensure Health & Safety and Wellbeing are a priority across our ow Production/Quality teams and those organisations with which we engage as Sub-contracting partners What will you bring to the role? Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrated experience Personality capable of driving change, providing fresh thinking and an alternative perspective A self-starter, able to take the initiative and push projects forward, solution focused Operations experience would be advantageous within a continuous manufacturing environment A developing knowledge and experience of the application of best-in-class continuous improvement systems, standards, and tools and how to execute and monitor these Collaborative team player and developing influencing and communication skills What is on offer?
