Development Lead/ Technical Manager (Director) - Up to £150,000 + Bonus + Package
📍 Location: London (Hybrid) | 🏦 Industry: Banking & Financial Services
We’re looking for an experienced Technology Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams within our bank’s core technology function. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep C#/.NET expertise who enjoys shaping technical direction while mentoring and developing people.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead and manage a team of software engineers delivering critical banking platforms
* Drive technical excellence across our C#/.NET stack, ensuring clean, scalable, and secure solutions
* Partner with product owners, architects, and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
* Set coding standards, review designs, and guide architectural decisions
* Balance people leadership with technical oversight, fostering a strong engineering culture
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience managing software engineering teams in an enterprise environment
* Strong hands-on background in C# / .NET (Core), with solid understanding of modern development practices
* Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
* Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments is a strong advantage
