The Role
* Carry out a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance carpentry across campus buildings.
* Repair and install door hardware, access control, and fire-release mechanisms.
* Assemble and fit kitchen units and worktops.
* Support listed building works and help preserve heritage assets.
* Provide input on small projects, estimates, and improvements.
* Join the on-call rota (one weekend in 4-5) with a £2,750 allowance plus overtime for call-outs.
* Work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team.
The Person
* NVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship in Carpentry (or equivalent).
* Skilled in maintenance carpentry across doors, fittings, and building fabric.
* Able to use woodworking machinery and handheld tools confidently.
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
* Flexible to join the on-call rota when required.
