Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to support a major security uplift programme within a large, enterprise-scale environment. You'll work as part of a dedicated cyber security team, providing technical expertise across cloud, infrastructure, and security remediation initiatives.
This role focuses on delivering improvements aligned to security accreditation and assurance frameworks, including Cyber Essentials, the Cyber Assessment Framework, and Zero Trust principles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret and apply security standards (Cyber Essentials, CAF, NIST, NCSC) to define remediation actions.
2. Lead or support security improvements across Azure and on-prem environments.
3. Configure, optimise, and manage Microsoft Defender and related endpoint, identity, and cloud security tools.
4. Identify and report security non-compliance, recommending technical fixes.
5. Prepare Change Requests and implementation plans for approval boards.
6. Implement and test security solutions, documenting outcomes for audit and traceability.
