We are looking for a Criminal Justice Coordinator to support the work of the Probation Service in Blackpool. You will work with individuals who are leaving the prison system and support in the delivery of high-quality continuity of care completions across a range of different health and social care needs. Acting as the single point of contact for prison/custody releases for the Probation service, you will work with individuals subject to Probation Community Orders such as Community Sentence Treatment requirements and individuals involved in or at risk of being involved in the wider Criminal Justice system. On the direction of Probation service and Resettlement services that operate within prisons, you will support in care co-ordination to help meet individuals’ resettlement needs on release from custody. You will be responsible for leading individuals to engage successfully in a wide range of services and will input into recovery planning, risk assessing, risk management planning and client centred reviews. You will be committed to a positive, holistic and empowering approach to care co-ordination and will work with service users to initiate recovery from drug dependence, to enable service users to build their own recovery capital and to support them to move into long-term sustained recovery and social (re)integration. We are looking ideally for candidates with Lived Experience of having gone through and personally experienced the Criminal Justice System. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, and it will be a requirement that you are not currently on Probation.
