Hull College - Estates Facilities and Contract Head
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £43,157 FTE
Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
As our Estates Facilities and Contract Head, you will lead the College’s planned preventative and routine maintenance programmes, managing both the in-house maintenance team and external contracts.
The post holder will oversee the preparation and delivery of the College’s Estates Capital programmes.

Responsibilities of the Estates Facilities and Contract Head:
1. Manage the College’s Mechanical and Electrical Services and building fabric safely and efficiently, utilizing internal and external resources.
2. Procure and oversee contracted maintenance services and capital works.
3. Provide reports on facilities operation and performance, including expense reviews and quality assessments.
4. Monitor all KPIs, focusing on reactive and planned maintenance in line with contract obligations, working with the Estates Maintenance Administrator.
5. Oversee inventory and asset management.
6. Lead and be responsible for team members needed to meet contractual obligations, including recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.
7. Conduct routine inspections and assessments of college facilities to monitor services such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, elevators, fire alarms, custodial, and maintenance, as per external contracts or SLAs.
8. Support strategic aims and work on specific Estates and Premises development projects as directed by the VP for F&CS.
9. Assist other Estates and Facilities staff with related tasks to support College operations.
