WHAT TO EXPECT
This role primarily involves coordinating production and shipping from EPMC while maintaining optimal inventory levels. You will manage production schedules and coordinate transportation of components and finished products, both domestically and internationally, ensuring timely delivery aligned with build requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Support volume production at EPMC by scheduling requirements to meet operational targets and customer demands
* Manage plant and pipeline inventory to support daily build requirements and smooth production flow
* Optimize stock levels within capacity constraints, respond to requirement changes, and realign volumes to meet targets
* Coordinate shipping to ensure customers receive products as per their requirements
* Maintain accurate records and stock control, ensuring data integrity for scheduling and SAP accuracy
* Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Material Planning and Logistics departments to fulfill requirements promptly
* Work with receiving locations and JLRFleet to schedule dock slots, optimize trailer use, and monitor on-time collections
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Understanding of manufacturing production methods
* Ability to analyze and challenge logistics processes effectively
* Proficiency in MS Excel
* Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
* Flexibility to support operational needs, including shift work if required
* Effective communication across organizational levels and functions
