**Job Description:**
This job is responsible for performing end-to-end investigations or investigations support functions of external financial crimes activities across one or more lines of business. Key responsibilities include conducting routine to complex investigations, including fraud committed by external parties, money laundering, or terrorist financing and acting as the liaison to Law Enforcement as required.
This role will entail completing investigations while ensuring cases meet or exceed closure and quality metrics, reporting facts of the investigation to assist in identifying potential operational or compliance risks, and making recommendations to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in a timely and accurate manner for submission to regulators and/or law enforcement.
The Investigator may be asked to partner with GFC Risk Management, front line units or other stakeholders to resolve investigations. The Investigator will maintain a working knowledge of relevant anti financial crimes laws, rules, and regulations, as well as an awareness of industry best practices.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Completes investigations while overseeing cases meet or exceed closure and quality metrics
+ Completes investigations in a timely and accurate manner for submission of SARto regulators and/or law enforcement
+ Reports facts of the investigation to senior stakeholders, assisting in identifying potential operational or compliance risks and partners with Global Financial Crimes (GFC) Management and/or Front Line Units (FLU) to resolve investigations
+ Performs quality control functions, training, communications, guidance, monitoring scenariodevelopment/enhancementinput and testing, or law enforcement liaison responsibilities in an investigative support role
+ Managing a significant case inventory while prioritizing cases based upon risk and/or management direction while adhering to department Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
+ Perform research and analysis of transaction information, customer data, public records, social media platforms or other external research tools to aide in the investigation to determine whether the activity appears to be normal for the client type.
+ Responsible for preparing concise reporting that captures the investigative details that support their decision.
+ Making recommendations to file Suspicious Activity Reports in a timely and accurate manner for submission to regulators and law enforcement across mulitple jurisdictions.
+ Communicating with GFC Management, front line units or other internal stakeholders, and law enforcement to obtain additional information and documentation as needed to resolve investigations.
+ Recommending appropriate follow-up and possible account closure for customers that exceed the Bank's risk tolerance; and identifies and escalates potential operational or compliance risks.

**What you'll do:**
The Operations Analyst C10 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Rates Cash Trade Support team. The overall objective of this role is Middle Office support team to cover Fixed Income products and a planned platform migration for current GMI reconciliations.
+ Monitoring and compiling daily exception reports to ensure Citi's positions and risks are correctly captured at the time of execution
+ Liaising with the Traders/Clients/Ops teams to identify and resolve issues, provide trade information and acting as a point of contact for multiple teams around the firm.
+ Maintaining, testing, developing and improving current processes & procedures.
+ Identifying and investigating regulatory reporting exceptions, developing a strong understanding of the requirements of the current and upcoming regulatory environment. Regulatory exceptions includes - Mandatory Clearing / MRNCCD / EMIR reporting / MiFID II Trading Obligation / QFC Adherence
+ Reviewing daily control reports targeting patterns of exceptions
+ Providing support for testing in UAT on new system roll-outs
+ Providing timely and accurate MIS data in response to ad hoc management queries.
**What we'll need from you:**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication
+ Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
+ Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and under tight deadlines, as part of a team, and be incredibly self-motivated.
+ Strong attention to detail and time management skills
+ Ability to partner with other teams to provide innovative solutions.
+ Relevant experience in an organizational or administrative role will be advantageous.
+ Some experience working within Fixed Income, preferably in a Middle Office, Operations, or Product Control capacity.
+ Strong Excel skills (VBA a major plus or knowledge of Access DB).
+ Must be creative and open-minded as the Middle Office is looking to find the best possible solution for issues.
+ Flexible with working hours as the position will occasionally require early starts or late nights
+ Familiar with Dodd-Frank and EMIR regulatory rules / ISDA definitions / Industry initiatives
