Job Description Order Picker
Location: Stowmarket
Shifts: Rotating 06:0014:00 and 14:0022:00
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our busy warehouse team, specialising in handling and distributing paint and related products. The role involves picking customer orders accurately, preparing goods for dispatch, and maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately pick paint products and related items according to order sheets and warehouse systems.
Prepare and pack orders safely, ensuring products are handled with care to avoid damage or spillage..
Work to performance targets (accuracy, speed, and quality).
Follow all site health & safety procedures, especially when handling liquid or hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area.
Assist colleagues and support other warehouse tasks when required.
Skills & Experience
Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred but not essential (training provided).
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Physically fit able to lift, move, and handle paint products and packaging safely.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts.
Requirements
Must be 18+ years old.
Safety boots and warehouse PPE (provided if required).
Willingness to complete any required training (e.g. manual handling, COSHH awareness).
