Overview
We have a rare opportunity for a Rotating Nurse to join Pride Veterinary Referrals. You’ll have the chance to develop your clinical nursing skills in a state-of-the-art referral hospital as part of a supportive and experienced team. You will work across multiple disciplines and be involved in a range of clinical tasks.
Responsibilities
* Monitor sedations/anaesthetics
* Provide exceptional inpatient care
* Assist with imaging procedures (x-ray/ultrasound/CT/MRI)
* Contribute to transfusion medicine
* Support diagnostic procedures
* Manage admits and discharges
* Work on drug calculations and fluid calculations
* Administer CRIs
Facilities and Environment
Pride Veterinary Referrals is equipped with industry-leading facilities and advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring a high standard of patient care. The hospital includes multiple consultation rooms, wards, theatres, imaging suites, ultrasound rooms, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, and dedicated treatment rooms. Our in-patient wards are large, air-conditioned and maintained to high standards.
Applicant requirements
* Qualified RVN
* Ideally with at least 1 year of post-graduation experience
* Experience of working in a hospital setting
* Any additional qualifications are advantageous
* Ability to demonstrate clinical competence in standard nursing protocols
Working pattern
Average 38 hours per week over a 4-day week. Shifts typically include 08:00-17:30, 08:30-18:00, or 08:30-19:00, plus a 1:6 weekend rota in the wards (Saturday & Sunday, 07:45-18:00). Approximately 1 Friday in every 8 weeks is a Twilight shift (3pm-12am) with on-call duties in the evening, with overtime payable if called out.
