Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Residential Homes Manager to join our friendly, supportive team at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
We are opening a new home this year focused on providing a therapeutic-based model of care for children and young people who have experienced trauma and attachment issues, in collaboration with health partners.
As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager to lead a team of Residential Care Officers to provide high-quality care and family support, as outlined in the home’s Statement of Purpose. You must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, meet all criteria in the person specification, and be able to register with Ofsted.
You will possess the skills, knowledge, and drive to support the delivery of care packages aligned with our ethos and mission to ‘turnaround the lives of young people to prepare them for family life’. Our homes are supported by therapists to develop and deliver individualized support packages.
What our young people say: “The service and the care home manager have been so supportive and have helped me build my confidence and turn my life around, and I’m now hoping to go to university. Living in the home has been like being part of a family, and the neighbors treat us like family.”
Ofsted comments: “It’s clear the children in this home are loved” and “Children love living here and do not want to leave!”
Other professionals say: “The homes are ‘brilliant’, the staff are ‘child-centred’. It is evident how much the children are cared for, and the staff are extremely proud of their achievements.”
