About Us:
We are a small and friendly 6-bedroom residential care home providing personalised support for adults with learning disabilities. Our home is a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment where each individual is encouraged to live as independently and fully as possible. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised support with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household activities
* Encourage independence, choice, and involvement in all aspects of life
* Support residents in accessing the community, attending appointments, and participating in social and recreational activities
* Build positive relationships based on trust, consistency, and respect
* Promote safeguarding and ensure a safe, caring environment at all times
* Maintain clear and accurate records in line with care plans and procedures
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure high-quality support
What We're Looking For:
* A warm, friendly, and patient approach
* Genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Previous experience in a care or support role is helpful but not essential — full training provided
* Flexibility to work shifts including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
* Commitment to promoting dignity, rights, and independence
* A willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and relevant training
