JOB TITLE - Receptionist RESPONSIBLE TO - PA to the Registered Manager LOCATION - Milton Keynes WORKING HOURS - 40 hours a week (including weekends) HOURLY RATE/SALARY - £12.21 Per hour PJ Care has been rated as the "Best Care Home to Work for in the UK" in the annual ‘Best Companies’ awards, which have also ranked us in the top five best health and social care providers to work for We are seeking two Receptionist in our Mallard House centre in Milton Keynes. This is a permanent and Full-time position. This role is to support and assist the Registered Manager and staff members to deliver quality care in line with PJ Care policies and procedures, to all residents. The right candidate will reflect the PJ Care values of Care, Compassion and Commitment. PJ Care is a leading provider of specialist neurological care and neuro rehabilitation for individuals with complex neurological conditions. AIMS OF POSITION To ensure that all visitors and callers’ first impressions of PJ are excellent. To maintain front of house presentation standards. To provide assistance to visitors and staff. To provide administrative support to the staff based at Mallard House. Key Areas of Responsibility: Deal with enquiries in such a way as to promote the goodwill of PJ Care Ltd. Answer all incoming telephone calls, transfer them to the correct person, taking messages when the person is unavailable. Ensure messages taken are emailed to the person concerned at the earliest opportunity. Receive visitors and residents, ensure they sign into the building appropriately and ensure staff expecting them are aware of their arrival. Distribute incoming internal and external mail throughout Mallard House. Liaise with Support Services to ensure that all maintenance and transport requests are fulfilled. Provide general administration support for all staff at Mallard House as and when required. Liaise effectively with the other Receptionists to ensure continuity of Reception Service throughout the day. A ‘Clear Desk’ policy must be maintained, doors must be secured, and PC must be locked whenever Reception is left unattended, to ensure the confidentiality and security of all Company information to comply with the Data Protection Act. Incident Controller Duties. Undertake other reasonable duties as may be requested. QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES Customer Service/Receptionist Experience Clear and accurate telephone manner I.T. Literate Good organisational and time management skills with ability to work as part of a team. Communication skills. The weekly working hours required are 40 hours per week, on a rota pattern working Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am and 8pm. PJ Care are individually responsible and expected to safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of all individuals who access PJ Care services to ensure everyone is protected from actual or potential harm.
