Job description
Our client, a leading technology company, is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their growing team in Fareham. The role involves supporting multiple companies with their IT requirements and may include regular visits to clients in the local area, including Portsmouth and Southampton.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing comprehensive IT support to various clients
2. Troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of IT-related issues
3. Administering and installing Microsoft Windows operating systems
4. Supporting desktop and server environments
5. Managing and maintaining PC hardware and components
6. Utilising knowledge of cloud services, including Office 365, One Drive, and SharePoint Online
7. Maintaining strong documentation and communication with clients
8. Adhering to SLAs and ensuring timely closure of support tickets
9. Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships
Job Requirements:
10. Experience in IT Support
11. Proficiency in troubleshooting IT issues and using initiative
12. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
13. Experience with cloud services such as Office 365 and One Drive/SharePoint Online
14. Ability to administer and install Microsoft Windows operating systems
15. Good understanding of desktop and server support
16. Knowledge of PC hardware and components
17. Understanding of hosted environments (Web, Virtual Server, Dedicated)
18. Strong documentation and communication skills
19. Enthusiasm for learning and skill improvement
20. Experience in managing customer relationships and delivering excellent customer service
21. Knowledge of working with SLAs and using support ticketing systems
22. Ability to gain basic level security clearance for working with MOD sites and projects
23. Full UK driving licence
