Your New RoleThis position offers the chance to work in a highly technical, hands‑on setting where you’ll take ownership of one‑off and short‑runponents from set‑up through to final inspection. You’ll operate within a small, fast‑moving team that mirrors the mindset of an elite motorsport machine shop — deliveringplex parts right first time under demanding lead times.Key Responsibilities
1. Full responsibility for tool set‑up, 5‑axis machining, in‑process verification, and final inspection
2. Developing workholding and proving out set‑ups.
3. Achieving and maintaining tolerances of ≤ mm across titanium, aluminium, stainless steel, and nickel alloys
4. Selecting and optimising tooling, feeds, and speeds to balance quality, cycle time, and tool life
5. Measuring and recording dimensions using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, FARO arm, and gauges in line with AS9100 requirements
6. Working closely with AM, programming, and QA teams to ensure right‑first‑time delivery
What you need to succeed:
7. 2–3 years’ experience setting and operating 5‑axis CNC milling centres
8. Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection
9. Confident working under pressure with minimal supervision
10. Clearmunicator with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
11. Genuine interest in producingplex, high‑performanceponents
Desirable Experience
12. Exposure to metal additive manufacturing and post‑processing
13. Probing, metrology, GD&T, CMM workflows, and basic SPC
14. Machining high‑strength alloys such as titanium and Inconel
