The customer is a leading logistics provider that operates in ambient warehouse. Benefits: Warehouse Operative will be rewarded with the following: Competitive pay rate Opportunity to progress/develop further within the business Free parking on site Permanent contract available after minimum 12 weeks Additional hours available in peak times Kingdom People support via friendly on-site team The role: Warehouse Operative will be expected to do the following tasks (list is not exhaustive): Detailed recording of all materials that flow through the business on a timely basis, loading and unloading of all vehicles, picking of orders, rolling stock counts, clean as you go policy following GMP practices incorporating internal and external areas. Responsible for IFS integrity and accuracy. Support planning department Order materials on daily basis to keep Production running Booking Transport when Warehouse Manager not on site after Training has been provided (Warehouse Manager to Source Training Site) Support the Warehouse Manager with all day-to-day duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department as identified by the Warehouse Manager. Allergen control Anomalies to be investigated and resolved to ensure that a robust and accurate stock system is always maintained. Requirements: Warehouse Operative ideally need to fulfil the following requirements: Food Manufacturing experience Highly motivated Attention to detail Can work under pressure Organisational ability Fork truck licence – Aisle master, counterbalance within 3 years Good communication skills Strong team worker Numerate Manual dexterity Computer literate/ WMS system Being able to commute to Tyne and Wear Team Valley Communication in English (written and spoken) Positive attitude and willingness to learn PERFORMANCE/ PROBATION REVIEW CRITERIA List key criteria/objectives against which the Warehouse Operative will be reviewed. During first 6 months of employment regular reviews with WM Within 6 months the WO will be expected to confidently deputise for WM.
