Overview
We are working alongside a well established fabrication company in the Newton Aycliffe area who are seeking dedicated and proficient Plater/Welders. Looking to fill nightshift position.
Responsibilities
* Perform welding and plating tasks on structural steel components.
* MIG Welding
* Reading engineering drawings
* Set up welding equipment and select appropriate techniques.
* Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder or similar role.
* Proficiency in various welding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be expected to undertake a weld test if successful for an interview
Working 42 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
