The Mull and Iona Medical Group has a well-established team of Practice Nurses, who provide focused and holistic care to our community. The Practice ethos is to develop and utilize the skills of individuals and to encourage education and personal development to enhance healthcare delivery. We are a Training Practice, attracting GPs in training, and regularly host nursing and medical students in placements.
We are seeking a Practice Nurse to join our team to provide maternity leave cover for approximately 12 months, helping to deliver models of care that will sustain and improve high-quality healthcare beyond 2025.
Ideally, candidates will have a Practice Nursing background and a desire to advance the role of Practice Nursing in our community. Alternatively, we welcome applications from newly qualified Nurses, Bank Nurses, or those currently working in Secondary Care Nursing who are interested in a career change for a period.
The Mull and Iona Medical Group is the only practice on Mull and Iona, operating from three sites in Tobermory, Craignure, and Bunessan, serving the island community and numerous visitors each year. It exemplifies an island rural practice; with a patient list of 3,500, the practice also cares for many tourists visiting Mull and Iona annually. The Mull and Iona Community Hospital, located in Craignure, features a small in-patient ward and an Accident and Emergency department, supported by our team of GPs.
