Senior Pastry Chef role at Thomas Franks Ltd – Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £15.25/hour
Hours: 37.5 per week
A private day school in Bolton, catering for 2850 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of mid-morning break with full lunch offering, including grab & go. Operating predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekend events. Free parking nearby.
You will have previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Senior Pastry Chef. Experience making cakes, bread and pastry from scratch is essential, while leading production on school cakes and desserts and maintaining a high standard of produce for hospitality and events. You will work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus, and you will be creative to showcase your skillset.
Key Responsibilities
* To work well in a team producing bread, cakes and desserts for lunch service and hospitality.
* To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company\'s brand standards.
* Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
* Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / Competencies
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.

* Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
