Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery operations. This role requires excellent communication skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods. The Driver will be responsible for operating various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, while adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
* Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for the delivery of goods to various locations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and customers.
* Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries as needed.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Valid commercial driving licence is required.
* Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
* Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding loading procedures.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
