Overview
Opportunity for a Design Manager in Macclesfield to join the Life Science team. The Design Manager will report to the project team, fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project, and provide guidance to design coordinators as appropriate. This is a 5-year framework for small works ranging from £300k to £4m. The role is on-site, working alongside the Sisk framework team and client framework team.

Responsibilities
1. Manage design consultants, sub-consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely and correct delivery of all design-related information for on-site works.
2. Manage and mentor design coordinators involved in the projects.
3. Contribute to Employer's Requirements and Contractor Proposal Compatibility.
4. Assist the Design Coordinator during the construction phase.
5. Chair and document design meetings, ensuring production of information aligns with project design standards.
Experience
* Experience in project development from RIBA Stage 2 to 7, with multiple projects running concurrently.
* Experience in fit-out/remodeling works, particularly in Pharmaceutical projects.
* Knowledge of NEC Contracts.
* Background in Architectural or MEP Design.
* Understanding of life science, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects).
Qualifications
* Degree in a construction-related discipline.
* Minimum of six years’ experience in the construction industry.
