Company Description
Sudbury and South Suffolk Citizens Advice helps people find solutions to life challenges by providing free, expert advice for everyone. We are an independent charity and part of the national Citizens Advice network. Although our office is in Sudbury, our coverage area is South Suffolk where we work closely with Suffolk County Council, Babergh District Council and other agencies and elected bodies. Our office has a team of about 50 volunteers and staff, and their efforts contribute over £1m of value to the local community.
Role Description
We are looking for several additional trustees on a part time and voluntary basis to join the Board of Trustees. We need leadership from people who really care about social issues in our community. Board members are responsible for participating in Board meetings and sub-Committees and attending personally, providing strategic direction to the executive and to make decisions that impact the organisation and therefore the wider community. There is also an opportunity for Trustees to get involved in some specific issues and support the organisation using your own specialist skills. A time commitment of half a day a week is ideal but not expected with the opportunity to contribute more time if available.
