As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will lead hands-on learning experiences that encourage pupils to explore design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques while working safely and confidently in practical settings. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons linked to design and manufacturing. Guide learners through design briefs, modelling, and project development. Promote safe working practices when using tools, equipment, and materials. Assess progress and provide clear, supportive feedback. Maintain an organised and well-managed learning environment. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience working as a Design Technology Teacher within UK schools. Strong practical knowledge and awareness of workshop safety. Effective classroom management and communication skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
