Akessa Healthcare is looking for someone with a successful sales track record in healthcare or a related industry to become our GP Liaison Manager in order to generate revenue and support the growth of The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital.

The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital was established in Aylesbury in 1832 and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region. The ownership of the hospital was transferred to our new management team in January 2023. By joining our existing portfolio, the hospital is now run professionally and provides clinical care to private, insured and NHS patients, with a strong ethos on caring for our staff.

The New Foscote Hospital was established in Banbury over 40 years ago and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region. We have over 50 consultants, all of whom are leaders in their specialist fields and choose to hold their private practices here, working alongside our friendly, highly qualified and experienced nursing and support teams.

Please note: Previous experience in medical sales, or GP liaison is an essential prerequisite for this role.

The Role:

The GP Liaison Manager, will be a key strategic partner in identifying new business opportunities in order to generate revenue and support the growth of The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital. With a proven track record within a health care related industry, you will have the ability to research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets

This role is best suited to someone with a successful sales track record in healthcare or a related industry. We will consider candidates who have sold pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and/or have worked in a similar role for another private hospital.

As a GP Liaison Manager, you will build effective and productive relationships with current and potential patient referral sources (i.e., GPs, Physiotherapists, etc.) in your defined territory, with the objective of driving patient volume into The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital. This role will be a predominantly field based with expected travel across the region to support the expansive growth. Therefore, applicantsmust have a valid UK driving license.

Core Responsibilities:

* Build effective and productive relationships with current and potential patient referral sources in defined territories, with the objective of driving revenue into The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital.
* Organising CPD events for GPS and other primary care professionals.
* Drive awareness amongst referrers of our strategic imperatives utilising the relationships built with The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital consultants to facilitate this awareness.
* Use analytics and competitor insight to ensure optimal use of time and resource on both existing and new referrers and to identify market and service development opportunities.

Main Duties and Key Accountabilities:

* Establish, promote and lead a culture of excellence in customer service with doctors, patients, visitors, internal and external service providers
* Identify opportunities for service improvement and development
* Actively promote hospital services through targeted professional community liaison strategies, events, promotional activities and community liaison.
* Obtain accreditation by the Royal College of General Practitioners for education purposes
* Develop, coordinate and promote GP Seminars and other promotional / educational programmes
* Support the development of Hospital GP calendar of accredited education meetings and GP practice lunches, including liaising with and securing key speakers, venues and sponsors.
* Work with the Marketing Assistant to develop and manage hospital social network channels and website.
* Maintain a comprehensive database for referring providers
* Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Business Development Strategic Plan
* Develop, review and update policies and procedures pertaining to the hospital as required.

Key Performance Indicators:

* Increase in revenue at The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital
* Introduction of new service lines contracts
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
* Previous experience of working in a similar role within healthcare with a proven track record in sales and account management environment.
* Previous private experience (Pharma or equivalent considered)
* Previous experience in a customer facing role within a healthcare setting
* To be fully adept with all Microsoft Office software
* Ability to learn and use internal and external IT systems
* Experience of data analysis and producing outcomes reports related to KPIs
* Full UK Driving Licence
* A good understanding of the healthcare referral process
* Understanding of clinical commissioning groups
