Registered Veterinary Nurse (Days) - New Era Vets, Jersey, Channel Islands
We have a fantastic opportunity for an RVN to join our friendly and supportive team at our RCVS accredited mixed practice on the beautiful island of Jersey.
About us:
We're proud to run the only small animal veterinary hospital on the Channel Islands, which contains a huge range of equipment, including an in-house laboratory, ultrasound and digital x-ray tools, CT scanner, pulse oximeters and capnographs. Plus, it's only five minutes away from the beach

The Role:
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at New Era Vets you will play a crucial role in our hospitals operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries
* Administering medications and treatments
* Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
* Conducting laboratory tests and diagnostics procedures
* Providing exceptional nursing care to our patients
* Educating clients on pet care and medications
* Maintaining accurate records and patient files
Our rota nurses work an average of 38 hrs per week across a 10-week rota with varying shifts including wards, lab and surgery.
The rota consists of 1 Saturday morning in 10, 1 full weekend in 10 followed by a 5-day weekend, 1 Saturday night in 10 (plus covering night nurse holiday).
Varying shift patterns from 7am-4pm through to 3.30pm until 9.30pm.
To be successful in this role you should have:
* Current registration with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassion and a genuine love for animals
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to work both day and night shifts (rotating schedule)
