Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join one of the UK’s leading automotive logistics operations.
Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we have ongoing opportunities available year-round across day, afternoon and night shifts, with optional weekend work and excellent overtime rates.
This is a clean and professional role within the automotive sector, offering stable, long-term work with no handball involved.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
o Local delivery and collection of automotive parts
*
o Sequenced deliveries from manufacturing facilities into production plants
*
o Occasional deliveries to suppliers and manufacturing sites
*
o Working shifts between 8–12 hours
*
o Flexible start times depending on shift preference

PAYE Rates
*
o Days (06:00–18:00): £15.95 per hour
*
o Nights (18:00–06:00): £19.26 per hour
*
o Overtime after 8 hours: £23.91 – £26.95 per hour

o Weekend rates up to £30.80 per hour

Driver Requirements
*
o Minimum 6 months Class 1 (C+E) experience
*
o Must have held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years
*
o Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
*
o Maximum 6 points for minor offences
Assessment Process
Successful drivers will complete:
*
o Written assessment on Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph regulations
*
o Site induction and safe systems of work briefing
*
o Vehicle familiarisation
*
o Practical driving assessment
