Position Overview:
The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits and systems for our mass spectrometry products. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics engineering with a strong interest in scientific instrumentation. This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performance, reliable products that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
Design analog and digital circuits for mass spectrometry systems, including signal processing, power management, and control circuits.
Develop printed circuit board (PCB) layouts and schematics, ensuring they meet design specifications and industry standards.
Participate in the integration of electronic systems with mechanical and software components, ensuring overall system performance.
Conduct simulations and prototyping to validate circuit designs before production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and application scientists, to define system requirements and ensure successful product development.
Testing & Validation:
Develop and execute test plans for electronic systems, ensuring they meet functional and performance specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electronic circuits during development, testing, and production phases.
Assist in the compliance testing of electronic systems, including EMC, CE, and RoHS certifications.
Document test results, design changes, and other technical information as required.
Key Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Significant experience in electronics design, preferably in the field of scientific instrumentation or mass spectrometry.
Experience with both analog and digital circuit design.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent.
Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including signal conditioning, power supplies, and microcontrollers.
Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming is a plus.
Experience with simulation tools like SPICE or MATLAB for circuit analysis and validation.
Understanding of compliance standards such as CE, EMC, and RoHS, and experience with related testing processes.
