We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Trainee Door Entry/IRS/Auto Door Engineer. This is a permanent position that includes a two year comprehensive internal training programme, ideal for someone eager to develop new skills and progress their career.
SUMMARY OF ROLE
As a Trainee, you will work alongside our experienced tradespeople to support a variety of repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks in customers’ homes as well as communal areas within the main building.
Throughout your traineeship, you will be guided by skilled trade professionals and a dedicated mentor who will provide regular feedback and support to help you develop your skills and progress with confidence.
This is a two-year programme that combines hands-on work experience with structured learning. You will spend time working alongside your mentor while also attending training courses as required. Please note that some courses may involve overnight stays.
Your training will cover, but not be limited to, the following areas:
* BTEC level 3 & 4 Access Control Installer
* KMS fob systems
* Tyntech door entry systems
Aerial
* CAI basic satellite/aerial installations
Auto Doors
* ADIA service & maintenance course
* EN16005 requirements for auto doors
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Accountable for the safety of yourself and those around you whilst in the workplace, ensuring you are also environmentally conscious.
* Purchase tools throughout your Traineeship to enable you to perform your role on completion of your Traineeship.
* Always remain polite & professional.
* To live the Mountjoy ethos and values always with whoever you deal or engage with.
* Punctual in both work and training settings, ensuring any training course work is completed on time
* Have a real interest in Door Entry, IRS systems, and Auto Door type work.

* Committed to learning and progressing every day whilst developing your skills within a practical hands-on environment.
* Able to listen and communicate to others.
* Ability to follow instructions.
* Have a technical mind set
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
* Hold GCSE`s 9-4 (A* - C) including Maths and English
* There is an expectation that by the end of the 2-year period you will hold a full UK driving licence
Salary
The starting salary is £26,737, rising to the full Door Entry Engineer salary upon successful completion of an estimated two-year training programme.
