Service Engineer | East Sussex | £35,000 - £40,000 Our client is looking for a Service Engineer, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering first-line technical support, carrying out timely equipment repairs, and actively supporting the growth of the service function. The Role: Delivering technical support and guidance to customers, partners, and colleagues through phone, email, and on-site visits. Coordinating with customers on logistics, including the dispatch of new equipment and the return of faulty units. Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults in line with agreed turnaround targets. Completing detailed service reports for all tasks, documenting work carried out and flagging any issues requiring follow-up. Key Skills and Experience: Good manual dexterity and proficiency in using both hand and power tools. Competence in accurately reading and interpreting electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering drawings. Skilled in working from circuit diagrams to assemble instrument wiring looms, from single cables through to fully tied looms. Experienced in preparing cables, applying sleeves, and carrying out soldering and/or crimping of joints. The role involves travel to meet with customers and suppliers, including occasional international trips. A valid driving licence and passport are essential. Some manual handling is required, such as packing, unpacking, lifting, and moving heavy equipment.
